Spring/Summer have been very busy here at Country Ski and Sports. All three store are on a roll.
Bicycles have been rolling out the doors, ah,ah, boats are floating out also.
So what is new and exciting, in bicycles that would be Electra, with their "flat foot technology". Five foot or shorter folks can set on a bike and put both feet flat on the ground. There is also very cool styling. Not race influenced but cool cruising styling, you will have to see them for yourself.
TJ from the Wellsboro store just qualified for Nationals. Good luck TJ.!

On the boating side we added Dagger kayaks to the mix, nice boats at attractive prices.
Really new, just last week, Jackson Recreation Boats arrived these rec. boats are the perfect on "Golden Pond"  kayaks. They look like canoes only sized like kayaks. They resemble Wee lasse' canoes, wide open cockpits large enough for you and child or dog. These will be the perfect angler kayaks, short, 10 foot or 12 foot, stable, you might want to stand up to cast, sleek and surprisingly fast on the water. Plus they come with accessories. This is a Jackson Kayak so there must be a kids model and it is a true kids kayak called the Mini Tripper sized and priced truly for kids.

One of our local paddlers, Curt Smithgall, just won the Junior Olympic Wildwater Gold Medal. Great work Curt!

Country Ski and Sports signed up for five segments on "The Great Outdoors" show. The first segment featured Sean showing Val Geist how to get started kayaking. Good job, Sean  you where very informative and though. This segment aired June 22. The second segment figured Kevin, [ me ]  Russ Cowles our Prijon Rep and long time paddling guru, along with the paddling crew form Montoursville in our "gym" showing some more advanced  paddling. This segment aired July 6. The next segment airs July 20 featuring the Wednesday night Open Paddling crew.

The fourth segment will be recorded at the  47th Annual Endless Mtn Downriver Canoe and Kayak Race. Val Geist tells me she is practicing every day. We will there and we want you to join us.
This segment will airs August 3rd
The final segment will be recorded on the North Branch Of the Susquehanna River at a site to be determined, and should aired August 17th.
